Ongoing Legal Transcription

Seeking transcriptionist to transcribed legal dictation. I dictate billable time and short notes after each client contact. I would be dropping the audio files into a shared DropBox folder titled "To Be Transcribed." You will periodically check the "To Be Transcribed" folder for new files and transcribed the recording into the appropriate MS Word memo template or preformatted timekeeping Excel spreadsheet. Once you're done with the transcription, you will save the file back to DropBox and move the audio file to the "Transcription Completed" folder.

This will be an ongoing project. I anticipate two to three hours throughout the week to start. Transcription will need to be performed continuously as new files appear in the "To Be Transcribed" Dropbox folder. This is not a project they can be completed once a week.


Certified Court Transcriber (Toms River)

We are looking to add another transcriber to our growing business and seek a NEW JERSEY STATE CERTIFIED TRANSCRIBER OR A PERSON WILLING TO WORK TOWARD THAT END!!! Idea candidate MUST be willing to work on an as-needed basis with the knowledge the work flow will fluctuate, MUST be available during the daytime hours and be available for possible pick up/drop off of media if necessary. MUST HAVE WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF WORD PERFECT OR BE WILLING TO LEARN.


Video/Audio Transcription

Good day! I have audio that needs to be transcribed pretty quickly. I can provide the entire video contents uploaded for you to transcribe, but I would prefer to record audio off the video and have you transcribe what is needed. Is this something that you will be able to complete. The proceedings are legal in nature.

Legal transcriptionist

Right now I'm dealing with an increase in workload and not enough time to handle the extra work on my own. I'm looking for someone who wants to make some extra money working on jobs as the overflow comes in.

The job requires knowledge of MS Word and use of macros (shortcut keys) that will implement a specific format for the transcription of a document. What is needed for this job is a foot pedal that works with FTR (For the Record Player - free) and a headset. 

Some training will be involved for this ongoing position. I will provide you with a word template and a macro sheet that will show what all the keystrokes do. I'll also provide a sample so you can view the format along with an audio file in which you can load into FTR and transcribe it. After reviewing the transcript produced by you, I will proof it and send it back. I will be paying for the training session whether you are chosen to continue with my company or not.

We have openings in our transcription department for contractors.

We seek high quality corporate and legal transcriptionists to do audio files for Social Security, Veterans Affairs, Immigration, as well as legal and corporate clients. We do not do any medical transcription.

These positions are Independent Contractor (IC) positions. You are not an employee for our company, but rather, work for yourself, providing us with you services.


A major perk of this work is its flexibility! As an independent contractor, you accept jobs when you want to.

At the same time, this is what you can expect in terms of work availability:

Most work comes in during the day Monday thru Friday. Most corporate work requires same-day turnaround. Legal generally has a 3-5 day turnaround. On occasion, we have corporate accounts that require evening work, with the work coming in by 5pm Central Time and being due early morning.

We transcribe earnings calls with a fast turnaround four times a year. This period can be intense, but there can be a lot of work available.

EXPERIENCED Legal Transcription Services (Remote services in San Diego area)

TJFACT is seeking an experienced Legal Transcription Specialist or Court Reporter to provide verbatim transcription services for recorded interviews in connection with official investigations and inquiries for a military organization as a govt contractor. Electronic voice recordings of witnesses and subjects require transcription into Microsoft Word documents. The Contractor shall provide a verbatim transcript from audio recordings in accordance with the requirements.
Estimated workload is 35 hrs a month.
- Must be able to work without supervision and be able to manage your own workload. Each case has a 10 day deadline and very few will have a 2 day priority deadline so you must be able to accomplish and set your own schedule.
-Must have and be willing to use your own home computer with Word 2007, ability to hear Audio recordings MP3/WAV files, ability to save word doc on a CD and the ability to print.

Deposition Services, Inc., a full service court reporting and transcription company in business for over 35 years, is currently recruiting legal transcribers to work from home.

To be eligible for a position, you must:

- Be able to type at least 75 words per minute
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
