In need of a Medical Transcriber for busy ear, throat and nose practice. Need someone who lives within 30 miles of Roswell, GA, our corporate office. Required to have nose, ear and throat transcription experience. Have to determine the format and content by following written or dictated instructions. Will be the one to establish document format by entering commands for margins, spacing, style, type size and color and other parameters. Preparing documents by using transcription equipment, applying knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, employing listening skills to decipher various dialects, accents and dictation styles. Other duties include: Correcting spelling and medical terminology errors by using dictionary and medical reference books; Editing documents by recognizing, interpreting and evaluating repetitions, inaccuracies in dictation, discrepancies; editing, revising and clarifying without altering meaning and style. Complying with medical-legal policies, procedures and priorities by perceiving medical documents as legal evidence such as amendments of recordings; seeking clarification; recognizing and reporting problems, discrepancies and errors to the management. This is a home-based position. You just have to obtain dictation to download through email format. You have to store completed docs by entering them into a database. Must contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. I need some interviews to be transcribed into text for an academic research project. I have around 9 interviews, which are approximately 8 1/2 hours. These interviews were done between 3 and 8 persons per recording but usually 4. The interviews include some medical and business terminology (in English). If possible, the transcriptions must be done in no more than a week. The nature of the recordings call for a confidentiality agreement to be signed by the transcriptionist before the project starts. Preferably, transcriptionists are US based. |

A legal transcription firm located in Medford MA is seeking to hire an experienced court transcriptionist to join the team. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who is a court reporter (current or retired), or a paralegal who has done court CDs transcription, or someone who worked for a court reporter and/or transcription company. We need a transcriber who is equipped to transcribe court CDs with a Start-Stop type pedal, must have a court software like JAVS, ForTheRecord, CourtSmart, ExpressScribe and must also have the willingness to pick up and deliver work weekly to our Medford office. Familiarity with the Mass and Uniform transcript format dated June 2008 is an advantage. Since you will be working on Mass and Trial Court legal cases, you must have or be willing to invest in Indexing software. Candidate must be a fast and accurate typist, with excellent knowledge of sentence structure and legal terms, be detail-oriented and knows how to do internet research. Ideally, candidate should have working experience with digital audio from the transcription application.
