The goal is to provide a record of patient care through transcribing and then interpreting physicians' dictation into medical-legal documents. Your responsibilities will be as follows: preparing work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting out transcription tapes and written instructions, determining format and content by following written or dictated instructions, establishing document format by entering commands for spacing, margins, type size, style and color and some other parameters, you will be helping physicians in using dictation equipment by demonstrating dictation procedures as well as techniques, preparing documents by using transcription equipment, applying your knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, employing listening skills to decipher various accents, dialects, and dictation styles, operating a word processor to input data, correcting spelling and medical terminology errors by using dictionary and medical reference books, editing the documents by recognizing, interpreting, and evaluating repetitions, discrepancies, and inaccuracies in dictation. You will also be editing, revising, and clarifying without altering meaning and style, complying with medical-legal policies, procedures, and priorities by perceiving medical documents as legal evidence, such as amendments of recordings, seeking clarification, recognizing and reporting problems, errors, and discrepancies to management. You will also be storing completed documents by entering documents in data base, printing documents by loading paper in printer, changing printing mechanisms, generating print commands. Other responsibilities are distributing documents by routing to physicians for editing and approvals, keeping the equipment operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures, maintaining supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, maintaining patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. You will have to contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. For this job we have set skills and qualifications like data entry skills, analyzing Information, listening, writing communication, administrative writing skills, documentation skills, and then must have a reporting skills, Word processing, internal communications, communication processes, supply management, knowledge of Intergy software suite is an advantage.
