Buying incompatible equipment can be a costly mistake. USB ports are gradually becoming a standard connection for most hardware. You can find everything from a keyboard to a dancing Santa that operate via USB. Typical new PCs come with several USB ports. If you don’t have enough ports or if they are not as accessible as you would prefer, you can buy a USB Hub. I take my USB Hub for granted. Here is a link to the USB hub that I use.
If you are using a notebook computer, a hub may be a necessity as they typically have fewer ports.
If you see a good deal on older equipment, be sure to find out what kind of connector is involved and whether your computer has a suitable port.
