Here is a recent job post that I found posted on www-transcription.net. This blog post is going to be about reading between the lines. Why does the company stress that they pay on time? We have to conclude that some companies operating in the MT industry do not always pay on time. I don’t have any direct experience with that. It might help to get in the habit of screening employers by searching for critical comments about them on the internet. I just read somewhere that 2/3 of employers keep tabs of what employees do on social networks like Facebook and Myspace. Don’t feel like you are being nosy when you dig for dirt on a prospective employer, but have some perspective. Any large company will have turnover that will result in ex-employees that don’t like them for various reasons. Some of them will vent on the net. You have to read between the lines when you see employers being trashed on the net.
I don’t know what to read between the lines when an employer asks for people who want to work.
