Some employers are happy to provide you with the opportunity to work at home, but they feel more secure knowing that they can bring you in when they need to. This appears to be one such employer. As an MT this may be preferable for you as well. I would suggest that you always look for local sources of work first before branching out to more remote employers.

Uses SMS Radiology Information system and the Lanier Voice-Writer system to transcribe radiology reports as needed, and other associated duties. Applicant must be able to accurately transcribe diagnostic, MRI, C/T, U/S, Vascular and NM dictations. Minimum one year experience. High School graduate or equivalent. ***While this is a home-based position, it is required that you report to the hospital at times - candidate should live within reasonable driving distance of the New Bern/Craven County area.***
