Most of the content that gets transcribed is pretty boring. Occasionally it is the exact opposite. MTs have typically signed a confidentiality agreement as a condition of employment. Even at home, work requires that you guard patient’s privacy, even from your family members. Consider having a password protected desktop exclusively for you work. Not only does this keep it private, but it removes various distractions from easy access while you are working. If it is financially and logistically feasible, it is much better to have a computer that is dedicated to work only.
