I just went to the Wikipedia entry for transcription. It is a bit of a mess. The site is asking that an expert in the field look into cleaning it up a bit. I am certainly not up to the task. I have fixed the odd typo on Wikipedia, but I think they are asking for somebody like the editors of Gregg to step in on this one.

For all that the entry is lacking, it is still a pretty good overview and worth a look.
