When I first saw the ad for a Telecommuting Boot Camp, I was a bit shocked at the title.  If it was to be taken literally, I thought a lot of participants might be mysteriously AFK when the deployment order came.

In actuality, the concept involves participating in a one day prearranged chat session with some large employers.  The company that organizes the event charges $19.00 and you are expected to submit an updated resume for them to share with employers.  It is too late to sign up for the session that will be taking place on July 2nd.  I am not entirely convinced that there would be a good return on investment for individuals looking for work at home transcription.  If I can find out which employers are participating I will do an update post on this subject.
