We all have to start somewhere.  It can be frustrating to see all the opportunities that require experience.  Thank goodness some employers find that freshly trained, enthusiastic employees can be a great asset.  Here is a job posting that clearly states that experience is not a requirement:

I am getting ready to finish my last transcriptin class with Penn Foster. I am just starting to look. Almost all of the job ads want 3-5 yrs. of experience. Then I came across your site. My previous background was in nursing and want to get into something different in the medical field where I can work from homr. I am very open to starting out slow with a mentor. I also worked as a legal secretary and have done dictation in the past, so my typing skills are pretty good. Everone deserves a virst chance and I woul be very happy to speak to you.

I am just finishing my last class with Penn Foster. I am a new graduate who desparatly wants to work as a medical transcription. My previous experience was in the medical fied, but would like to work from home. I would be open to working with a mentor until I get my feet on the ground.

I had a nursing degree a few years ago. Due to a severe knee injury, I had to give up the job I love. Medical transcription would give me great satisfation as I could still use my medical background experience.
