Just a quick post today. I have noticed that some job providers offer to pay for part or all of a contractors high speed internet bill. This does two things for the transcription company, it makes their ad more attractive to talented transcriptionists, and it saves headaches with contractors who scrimp on their ISP and end up having difficulties with large files.
If you are in a market that has lots of competing ISP’s you might want to opt for the one with the most flexibility. I have a provider that I can call at any point in time and get bumped up to a better package. I know this, because I had to do it once.
